AMK Research was founded on the conviction that the most consequential analytical work of the coming decades will require contributions from outside the customary institutional perimeter. Many of the writers, scholars, and professors best placed to interpret geopolitical movements and longer futures hold no permanent affiliation with a research centre. Many of the institutes looking for that work lack the connective tissue required to find them.
We sit between the two. We maintain a working roster of independent scholars, professors, specialised writers, and field practitioners, and we are engaged by policy centres, foundations, and university research programmes to place that expertise against specific institutional questions.
The relationship is neither agency representation nor consultancy. Our obligation is to the integrity of the work produced and to the long durability of the relationships we form on either side.

Independence
We accept no funding from political parties, governments, or commercial interests with material stakes in our subjects of inquiry.
Scope
Our concentration is geopolitics and futures. We connect scholars, writers, and professors with research centres working in these fields, and we decline mandates where another institution is better placed.
Discretion
Most of our work proceeds quietly. Public attribution is offered only where the contributor and the engaging institute both prefer it.
Standards
Every engagement is reviewed against the methodological and citation conventions of the relevant scholarly community.
